Charles Jefferson, 98, of Columbus, Ohio, passed Wednesday, November 06, 2019. Charles was born to Richard Jefferson, and Courtney Jefferson, March 09, 1921. Charles stayed in Brooklyn, New York where he joined the United States Army. He served in the army for approximately 10 years, which he was apart of the great Second World War. He retired from the army and later met Sonja Irene Simmons. The two had 6 children together four boys and two girls. He later moved to Elloree, South Carolina where he met Evelyn Jefferson. he enjoyed the country life and would later retire as a well known mechanic. 

Charles is survived by 12 children: Chaderick Jefferson (Sonja Simmons), Sherrod Jefferson (Sonja Simmons), Carl Jefferson (Sonja Simmons), Charlene Pruitt (Sonja Simmons), Sonja Everette (deceased) (Sonja Simmons), Shontale Jefferson (Evelyn Jefferson), Charles Jefferson Jr. (Evelyn Jefferson), Ruthilia Jefferson (Evelyn Jefferson), Mykell Jefferson (Evelyn Jefferson), Christopher Jefferson (deceased) (Evelyn Jefferson), Lynne Jefferson (Evelyn Jefferson), and Robert Jefferson (deceased) (Evelyn Jefferson). He also is survived by 18 grandchildren. Miesha and James Jefferson, Marquis, Shamay, Simonee Everette Xavier, Xylena, Zenora Jefferson, Kaylon, Michael, Dileisha Pruitt, Ashontea, Arron, Anaja Jefferson, Michelle, Sincere, Tyrell, and Tazaria Jefferson.
