Charles Leon RediferAge: 87 • StauntonCharles Leon Redifer, 87, widower of Monna Gay (Warner) Redifer, of Staunton passed away Friday, December 23, 2016 in Birch Gardens Assisted Living in Staunton.Mr. Redifer was born on May 30, 1929 in Augusta County, Virginia, a son of the late Ruby (Redifer) Lloyd.Charles was a member of Moscow Church of the Brethren and was retired from Smith's Transfer as a truck driver. He enjoyed tinkering with different items and gardening.In addition to his wife and mother, Mr Redifer was preceded in death by a brother, Bud Lloyd; and a sister, Louise Bland.Mr. Redifer was the last surviving member of his immediate family.Surviving are two sons, Allen L. Redifer and his wife Sarah of Mount Solon and Rickey Redifer and his wife Deborah of Fort Defiance; three grandchildren, Jaime Campbell and her fiancé Mark Fuller, Jason Redifer and his wife Kassi and Nicholas Redifer and his wife Haley; five great-grandchildren, Ashley Campbell, Owen Campbell and Zachary Campbell, Abbie Redifer and Laurel Redifer also survive.A Graveside service will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 27, 2016       in Moscow Church of the Brethren Cemetery by Pastor Darren Howdyshell.The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the church Fellowship Hall.It is suggested those desiring make memorial contributions to a .Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive, Staunton is in charge of his arrangements.Condolences may be expressed to the family online at www.coffmanfuneralhome.net.
