Allen, Charles R. "Chuck"Charles R. "Chuck" Allen, age 70, of Maribel and most recently of River's Bend Health & Rehabilitation Center of Manitowoc, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 19, 2017 at Aurora Medical Center in Manitowoc County surrounded by his family.Chuck was born on August 23, 1946 in San Antonio, Texas, a son of Lee R. Allen and Betty (Gilbert) Allen. He lived throughout the country with his military family in Anchorage, AK, Montgomery, AL and Houghton, MI. where he attended high school. Chuck enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1963 serving in Vin Long Vietnam with the 114th Aviation Company. He was employed by the Upper Peninsula Power Co. of Houghton, MI as a lineman before relocating to Houston, Texas where he was owner of U.P. Oil Co. Chuck worked as a security officer at Langham Creek High School in Texas before moving to the Green Bay area in 2006 to be near his son and daughter and her family. During the winter months, he worked at Hidden Valley Ski Hill in Maribel operating the ski tow.Chuck loved spending time with his family and was happiest when he was watching his two granddaughter's Desiree and Nevaeh's basketball and softball games. He had a special bond with his daughter Tina who gave him unconditional love and care during his declining years and she remained "Daddy's Girl" until the end. He will be deeply missed by all those who knew him.Chuck is survived by his daughter: Tina (Chris) Kleiman of Maribel, WI; one son: Chad Allen of Green Bay, WI; one step-daughter: Jodi (John) Bullard of Tyler, TX; two grandchildren: Desiree and Nevaeh Kleiman; and two step-grandchildren: Brandon and Collin Bullard; one sister: Sharon (Daniel) Walther of Naples, FL; three brothers: Danny Hackmeier; Kurt (Kimberley) Hackmeier of Great Falls, VA; John (Jennifer) Hackmeier of Houghton, MI; and special friends Wee-Zee (ex-wife and mother of his children Tina and Chad) and her husband Frank Yoerg, nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. He was preceded in death by his mother Betty Hackmeier; step-father Daniel Hackmeier; and father Lee R. Allen; paternal grandparents and maternal grandparents.Memorial services will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at the Reinbold & Pfeffer Family Funeral Home, 1124 Main Street, Kellnersville. Sr. Gerri Krautkramer will officiate. Relatives and friends may call on Tuesday at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until the time of service at 7:00 p.m. Military honors will be accorded by Kubale-O'Connell VFW Post #6179 of Kellnersville.
