Charles R. Williams 95 of Galt, CA passed away on November 18, 2016 in Manteca, Ca. due to a brief illness. Charles was born on July 31, 1921 to Ernest and Ethel Williams in Oakland, Ca. He was raised in Galt in his early years, he moved to Bay Area and raised his family there, then moving back to Galt for the last 40 years. Charles was a retired carpenter working in the Bay Area and throughout California. He enjoyed hunting with his sons and brothers. He is well known for building and showing Model A Fords and enjoyed being with his family. He was preceded in death by his wife Madelyn Williams and granddaughter Rebecca Machado. He is survived by his three children; Ethel Myers (Larry) of Pinole, CA, Madelyn Romo of Manteca, CA and Charles Williams (Janet) of EL Sobrante, CA. Grandchildren; Christine Ballentine, Brian Beckstrom, Jenny Williams, Charlene Hopkins and Shawna Benesi and 13 great-grand-children. Celebration of Life will be held at Brewsters, Galt, CA on November 19, 2016 at 12 noon. Burial Services will be private family services in San Pablo, CA. Ben Salas Funeral Home will be helping family with arrangements.
