Charles Ray Durden, 27, of St. Augustine, Florida, was born on Saturday, April 1, 1989, in Palatka, Florida, to Bobra Powells and Annette Durden. Charles was educated in the Putnam County School District. He attended Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church in St. Augustine under the leadership of Rev. Madison. Charles enjoyed creating music and spending time with his children. Charles Durden was called from this earthly vessel to his eternal vessel on Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2016, in St. Augustine. He leaves to cherish his many memories: mother, Annette Durden; father, Bobra (Sharon) Powell; children, Charles Ray Durden Jr. and Charvez Durden; sisters, Tabitha Sweet, Bobbie Brown, Jameka Hughes; brothers, Robert Powell, Terral Powell, Bobra Powell Jr., Jawaski Welcome and Tyler Glass; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends. A Memorial Service will be 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 26, 2016, at St. Paul African Methodist Episcopal Church in St. Augustine, Rev. Ronald Rawls, Pastor and Eulogist.
