Charles Reina Carlon, 83, died on Wednesday, June 24, 2009 at home. Charles was born on October 18, 1925 in Yuma. He was a great husband, a wonderful father, and an awesome grandfather and great-grandfather. His compassion and strong belief in the Almighty Creator was always true in his heart. Charles was quick to offer a helping hand. His trademark that he will leave behind was his great joy in music. He will never be forgotten, always to be remembered. Charles is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Lupe; his daughters, Dora and Charlene; his sons, Jeff, Daniel, Jesus, Anthony, Charles, and Benjamin; 13 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Seferino Carlon; his mother, Aurora Carlon; his sister, Tilla Villa; and his brothers, Joe Ruiz and Gilbert Carlon. Wake will be held at Johnson Mortuary on Tuesday, June 30, 2009 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. with Rosary recited at 7 p.m. Scripture Service will be held at Johnson Mortuary on Wednesday, July 1, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. Pallbearers are Jeff Carlon, Anthony Carlon, Charles Carlon, Benjamin Carlon, his nephew, Austin Pacholke, and his grandson, Frank Garcia Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be Jesus Carlon, Dora Greaney, Charlene Garcia, Frank Garcia, Tina Porter, and Ruben Quiroz.
