Charles Roberts1926 - 2015Charles Roberts, 88, of Twin Lakes, Wis., died Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2015, at The Springs at Crystal Lake Rehab Center in Crystal Lake, Ill.Charles was born on March 26, 1926 in Chicago, Ill., the son of the late Michael and Jennie Trimarco Rinaldi. On Feb. 14, 1984, in McHenry County, he was united in marriage to Ruth L. Schuel. She preceded him in death on Dec. 18, 2008. Charles lived in Cary, Ill., before moving to Twin Lakes in 1991.Charles served in the U.S. Army during WWII with the 78th Infantry Division and fought at the Battle of the Bulge. He earned the Victory Medal, the Europeon African Middle Eastern Theater Ribbon with 2 Bronze Battle Stars, the Good conduct Medal and the Army of Occupation Medal-Germany. Charles worked as a real estate investor in Chicago, Ill. He was a member of St. John's Catholic Church in Twin Lakes where he was a past president of the church council. He enjoyed antiquing and gardening.Charles is survived by one daughter, Robin (Dan) Esta of McHenry, Ill.; stepchildren, Carolyn Carramusa, Mickey (Bob) LePenta, Patti Lynott, Michael Lynott, John Lynott and Mary (Norbert) Wojcik, Jr.; many grandchildren and many great grandchildren; one brother, Rocco Rinaldi, two sisters, Mary Rinaldi and Genny (Jerry) Culhane and numerous nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by two brothers, Anthony and Michael.Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 16, 2015, at St. John's Cemetery in Twin Lakes. A Memorial Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, MARCH26, 2015 at The Church of Holy Apostles 5211 Bull Valley Rd. McHenry, IL.
