Wascher, Charles "Charley"Charles "Charley" Wascher, age 88 passed away on Thursday, September 14, 2017. Charley was born on August 10, 1929 in Chicago, Illinois to German immigrants. He served in the
Army Reserves for 4 years and was called for active duty for 15 months. He started right out of high school working for Revere Graphics Art Company, while attending
Northwestern University in the evening. He retired 48 years later with the same company. In 1995, upon his retirement, Revere funded the Charles Henry Wascher Achievement Award, an annual scholarship in perpetuity awarded to a deserving student at the
University of Illinois at Chicago School of Art and Design.Charley is survived by his wife, Evelyn (Michaelski) Wascher, and his four sons, Tom (Pamela) Wascher, Mark (Gail) Wascher, Jeff (Juli) Wascher, Greg (Deb) Wascher; and three grandchildren Lauren Wascher, Zack Wascher and Max Wascher. Charley was preceded in death by his brother, Wally Wascher. Charley loved to tell stories about his rich and wonderful life. He enjoyed other people's company deeply. Among his other passions was the art of sport fishing, which he proudly imparted to his sons.Friends may attend an open house celebration of his life in the Chapel at Touchmark on Thursday, October 12th from 4:00pm- 7:00pm, located at 2601 Touchmark Drive, Appleton, WI.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to the Fox Valley Brain Tumor Coalition "FVBVTC" at
