He was a dedicated husband to his late wife, Edna, and a cherished father to his five children, Charles III, Karen, Brad, “Hurkey”,and “his baby” Karelyn. He was the doting grandparent to twelve grandchildren, who affectionately referred to him as "Poppy" – a nickname that captured his playful and youthful spirit.
Poppy's departure leaves a void in the hearts of all who knew him. However, his legacy of love, laughter, and mischievousness will continue to shine brightly through his loved ones. As he takes his place in the heavenly jazz band, let us remember Poppy with joy and celebrate the incredible life he led.
