Charlie B. Fowler, 92, passed away on March 3, 2017 peacefully in his sleep. Charlie was born in Kershaw, South Carolina on March 31, 1925. Charlie was married to Nannie Mae Clyburn (Fowler) on March 23,1945; they were married 72 years. Five children were born from their union. The two settled in Teaneck, NJ where they lived for more than 60 years. Charlie worked as a contracted construction worker before opening his own steel construction business for more than 50 years. He worked very hard to provide for his family. Charlie enjoyed spending the holidays with his immediate family and building his business. He also loved to collect Cadillac cars.
Charlie is survived by his five children: Charles Fowler, Jerry Fowler, Melvin Fowler, Nancy Evette Wood, and Frankie Fowler; his grandchildren Tremaine, Melvin Jr., Jerry Jr., Tia, April, Dahlia, Penny, Rohin, Mark, Asia, and Nannette. 13 great-grandchildren, a host of great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews; and the rest of his family and friends. Charlie is also survived by his siblings: Joe Thomas Fowler, Rebecca Garcia, Lillie Mae Brown, Sarah Jefferson.
Charlie is preceded in death by: his wife, Nannie Mae Fowler, his parents, Jake Fowler and Dolly Fowler; as well as, his brothers, Jake Fowler Jr., Isaac Fowler and Henry Fowler.
