Charlie Lee Williams Sr. was born August 1, 1958, in Itta Bena, Mississippi; To Betty Mae McCoy.
On December 8, 2018, Charlie Lee Williams Sr. (POPEYE) was called home to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Charlie attended elementary and middle school in the Los Angeles Unified school district. Graduating from Thomas Jefferson High school of Los Angeles in 1977.
Charlie enjoyed building and racing muscle cars and playing numerous sports Football, Basketball, Baseball, and Tennis. He also enjoyed Fishing and spending time with his family. He loved to travel while enjoying the peace of the open roads which is what he did as a professional truck driver for 35yrs.
Charlie will be forever and always loved and missed by all his loved ones. He will live on in our memories.
His Final days were spent surrounded by his immediate family.
Charlie was preceded in death by his Grand Parents Mr. and Mrs. Powell, his mother Betty Mae McCoy, his daughter Shavon S. Williams, and special friend Jacqueline D. Price.
Charlie leaves to cherish his memory, his wife Yumeka Williams. Five children; Shaneka S. Williams, Charlie L. Williams Jr, Lee H. Williams, Bianca M. Jordan, and Chandler L. Williams. Four brothers; Leon Powell Sr., James Mitchell, Charles McCoy, and Ladell Stephens. Three Sisters; Diane Williams, Hattie Williams, and Jerline Mitchell. Seventeen grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and a host of nieces and nephews. Special friends: Helen E Bonner, Loretta Brodis, Sherilee Peace.
