Charlotte (Arlene) (Titus) AutryCharlotte (Arlene) Autry (Titus), a longtime resident of Woodland Village in San Marcos, CA, passed away at her residence on September 15, 2017 at the age of 84.Arlene was born on January 11, 1933 in Indianapolis, Indiana.She was married to William (Bill) Autry for 43 years before his death in 1997. She is survived by their 4 children: Mark (Sabrina) Autry, Cyndy (Bruce) Minnery, Gary (Rachel) Autry, David (Theresa) Autry, 14 grandchildren, and 1 great-grandchild. She is preceded in death by her parents, William and Viola Titus and her sisters Donna Logsdon and Patti Smith.Arlene was a devoted mother and grandmother. She loved her grandchildren dearly and spent most of her retirement making memories with each of them. She worked for 20 years at Perry- Meridian High School as the Principal's secretary. She took great pride in her job as she loved being around youth. She loved to dance and was a regular at the Indiana Roof. She continued to dance throughout her life, most recently taking up line dancing at Woodland Village.Her hobbies included: crocheting, cooking, playing bridge, drawing, gardening, dancing, singing, and bird watching. She particularly loved hummingbirds.Arlene moved to Woodland Village in San Marcos, CA in November 2006. She loved living in California and made many friends during her years there. She would often be found at the piano singing, participating in happy hour, game night, and going on many excursions with her friends.Arlene was a fun-loving, glamorous woman who's gregarious laugh will truly be missed.Services will be held at Christ Church Cathedral 125 Monument Circle Indianapolis, Indiana on Friday, October 6, 2017 at 3:00 pm.The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to in memory of Arlene Autry.
