Charlotte Norma (Hyde) WesleyMarch 17, 1932June 18, 2017Charlotte Norma (Hyde) Wesley passed away peacefully with her family at her side on June 18, 2017 in Reno, Nevada at the age of 85.Charlotte was born on March 14, 1932 in Twin Falls, Idaho to Lawrence and Margaret (Goble) Hyde. She married John Wesley, the love of her life, on July 6,1955. After moving to Reno, Charlotte began working for John Ascuaga's Nugget as a cashier then later became an administrative secretary for the City of Sparks IT Department. Over 61 years, the couple lovingly welcomed 2 daughters into their home. Charlotte set about cultivating them in the art of creating some of the famous family recipes. Her children remember her as a devoted mother who supported them and encouraged them to pursue their goals.Charlotte was famous for her Sunday family dinners and often sent us all home with delicious goodie bags and leftovers. She loved her family very much and treated everyone with kindness and affection. She was a caring and generous individual who loved all animals and who was passionate about being a part of her community. She was an active and dedicated member of the Pythian Sisters in which she reached the rank of Past Supreme Representative and often volunteered with Special Olympics Nevada.Charlotte is survived by her husband, John Wesley; daughters, Starlotte (Wesley) Wasson and Jona (Wesley) Cowell; brothers, Lawrence "Bud" Hyde of Wells, Nevada and William "Bill" Hyde of Sparks, Nevada; grandchildren, John Wasson, Josh Wasson, Yolanda (Cowell) Chatwood, and Rachael Cowell; and 4 great-grandchildren.A Celebration of Life and Reception is scheduled for 3pm - 6pm on Sunday, June 25, 2017 at the Knights of Pythias Lodge Hall in Reno, NV located at 980 Nevada Street, Reno, Nevada 89503. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Charlotte's life.
