Chavar VanZandt, beloved mother, grandmother, and member of the Fayetteville community, passed away on February 28, 2024. Born on October 28, 1965, Chavar was the daughter of Lee VanZandt and grew up in Fayetteville, North Carolina.

Chavar was a devoted mother to her four children, Jaime Lumpkin, Andrew Gatlin, Monika Thomas, and Crishawna VanZandt. She also leaves behind seven grandchildren who brought her immense joy and happiness throughout her life.

Chavar was known for her love of cooking and was often found experimenting in the kitchen, creating delicious meals for her family and friends. Her culinary talents brought people together and created lasting memories for those who had the pleasure of tasting her dishes.

Chavar will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her presence in the community will be remembered fondly, and her family will continue to cherish the memories they shared with her.
