CHEREL BRITT MURPHY was born on July 25, 1956, to the Late Early & Annie Clyde Britt in Miami, Florida. She graduated from Miami Jackson Sr. High School in 1975. Cherel labored 28 years for the State of Florida and then transitioned into being a Nursing Assistant and School-Crossing Guard. She was a dedicated worker in any job capacity she held.
Cherel obeyed the Gospel of Jesus Christ in the mid-1980s and was a faithful Christian at The Willow Oaks congregation in Ozark, AL until her passing. She loved the Lord and shared The Good News with anyone she came into contact with. She enjoyed listening to acapella gospel music, teaching the primary children at church & was always visiting the sick & shut-in, her family, and brothers & sisters in Christ to encourage them.
Cherel was proceeded in death by her daughter, Chertrese Murphy and brother, Gary Britt.
Cherel leaves to cherish her memory, Her children: Blair Majors, Natasha Majors, Aneesha Majors, & Curtis Earl Murphy; Her grandchildren: Anicia Johnson, Brianna Beckton, Alicia Bradley, & Clair Majors; Her great-grandchildren: Zybrion Beckton & Brealynn Miles; Her siblings: Terry J. Britt, Charlene Thomas, Kenny (Antoinette) Britt, Lester Britt, & Early Britt, Jr.; Her beloved niece, Lakeesha Thomas; a special friend, Sylvia Alexander; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, brothers & sisters in Christ, and friends.
