Kortsen, Cheryl A. 58, of Tempe passed away on January 11, 2017. Cheryl Ann Kortsen was born on April 25, 1959 in Casa Grande, Az to Jack and Sarah Kortsen. She grew up on her Dads' cotton farm in Stanfield, Az with her three siblings: Debbie, Jack, and Kent. Cheryl graduated from Casa Grande High School in 1977. On January 6, 1978, she married Steve Pebler and moved to Mesa, Az. Together, they had 5 children: Steven, Kellie, Josh, Zack, and Dane. Cheryl and Steve settled in Chandler, Az where they raised their family for the next 32 years. On August 18, 2012, she married Charlie Bokamper. Cheryl was a hard worker and academically inclined, graduating summa cum laude from
Arizona State University and then going on to earn her Master's Degree. She loved Jesus and had deep faith in Him. Her grandsons were her pride and joy. She was a fixture at all their school and sporting events. Cheryl is preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Sarah Kortsen. She is survived by her husband, Charlie Bokamper; her aunt, Susie Hodges; sister, Debbie Pass; brothers, Jack and Kent Kortsen; sons, Steven, Josh, Zack and Dane; grandsons, Trey Pebler and Elias, Kaden, Tobin, and Judah Phillips; many cousins, nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.
