Cheryl Burkey, 58, of Passaic, New Jersey, passed Sunday, December 29, 2019. Cheryl was born to James Michael Wright, and Elizabeth Christina Kocko Wright, May 31, 1961 in Passaic, New Jersey.

Cheryl is survived by 3 children: Michael Anthony Wright (Beth Bagley Wright), Danielle Rogers (Patrick J. Rogers), and Christina Elizabeth Ammons (Bryon Allen Ammons). She also is survived by 7 grandchildren. Olive and Oakley (Michael). Alyssa, James, Peyton and Brady (Danielle). Hunter (Christina).

Cheryl was never one to live by the rules. She made them up as she went along. Her decisions rarely made sense to anyone else but she stuck by them.

She was always in a light hearted mood, loved to tell jokes and play pranks. She loved being outdoors and her favorite pastime was fishing. She talked about "her gators" often, referring to the alligators she had in her usual fishing pond. 

She wasn't your typical mother or grandmother. She wasn't around much. We didn't see her on holidays. She didn't send the grandkids birthday cards or bake things. But she tried. And at least we have that. We love you Mom. Rest in Peace.
