Cheryl Lynn Rittenhouse, 59Muncie - Cheryl Lynn Rittenhouse, 59, passed away Wednesday evening, June 7, 2017, at her residence following a brief illness. She was born on September 18, 1957, in Baltimore, Maryland, the daughter of Aubrey and Marilyn (Deane) Hamilton, Sr.Cheryl was a 1977 graduate of Muncie Northside High School and later attended Amber's Beauty School. Ms. Rittenhouse had worked for the U.S. Postal Service for 26 years prior to her attending the Amber Beauty School. Cheryl had recently worked as a Beautician for the J. C. Penny Hair and Beauty Salon. She really enjoyed fixing hair and nail styling. She also enjoyed watching movies, mostly; she loved spending quality with her grandchildren. She was a very caring and kind person who loved so many people.Survivors include two sons, Jason Rittenhouse, Sr. (wife-Catherine), Brownsburg and James E. Rittenhouse, Sr. (companion-Mara Johnson), Muncie; five grandchildren, Sheridan, Nadiah, Laylah, Jason, Jr. and James E. , Jr.; her father, Aubrey Hamilton, II Modoc : Five brothers, Keith Hamilton, Daleville, Kevin Hamilton (wife-Bonnie) and Aubrey Hamilton, III (wife-Donna), both of Tucson, Arizona, Michael Hamilton, Modoc and Rick Hamilton, Muncie; five sisters, Darcie Zickuhr (husband-Mike), Hobart, Nancy Hamilton (fiancé-Gina), Evansville, Joyce Hamilton, Sonja Vollmar and Marianne Hamilton, all of Muncie; her loving former spouse, James "Butch" Rittenhouse, Muncie; several nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by a daughter, Cheryl Renee in 1983; her mother, Marilyn J. (Deane) Hamilton; one sister, Andrea Hamilton.Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 15, 2017, 1:00 p.m. at the Parson Mortuary with Rev. Aubrey Hamilton, Jr. officiating.
