Chris Smith, 27, of Petersburg, Virginia, passed Friday, June 25 2019. Chris was born to Jerome Smith, and Takita Smith, September 27, 1991 in Petersburg, Virginia.
Chris graduated from Petersburg High School in 2009. Chris worked at Walmart and was able to move up to a manager position. He was very sweet and kind young man. He loved helping others and doing whatever he possibly could to help. He loved kids and helping anyone he possibly could. He was such a kind hearted person. If you ever needed anyone to talk too, a shoulder to cry on or help with anything, he was always there. If there was one word to describe him, that would be the definition of a man.

What a terrible thing to happen to Chris. Grief for him is severe. What can be said to comfort us? Jehovahs words written in his word the Bible gives us true hope. Because Chris has a guarantee from Jehovah God that his son will bring him back to life here with us. Look at the words of Jesus in the book of John, 5:28. It states that all those in memorial tombs and graves will come to life again here. Chris will be like Lazarus, he will open his eyes to his loved ones and it will be a wonderful day. A day that will not have tears, sorrow, sickness, pain and death. These will be things done away with, Revelation 21:3,4 tells us this, so we will enjoy Chris forever. What a great future awaits Chris and us.
