Christian J. Shepard, 19 of Lake City, passed away on Friday, May 20, 2016 as a result of injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident. He was born on February 2, 1997 and was a resident of Lake City, Florida.Christian was a graduate of Columbia High School. His interests varied from mathematics to acting. A part of the drama team in high school, Christian devoted his time behind the scenes, however, after graduating high school, he decided to move to the other side of the camera with a role in an independent film, "Down in Two". He also co-hosted a streaming channel with friends, and enjoyed playing Magic with anyone who was willing to challenge him.Christian is survived by both parents, Regina Jones of Lake City and Daniel Shepard of Branford; his older brother Franklin Shepard of Lake City; two younger sisters Lucile and Violet of Branford; his step-father Jerry Jones of Lake City; step-sister Miriam Jones; step brothers Jerry, Jeremy and Jeremiah Jones all of Lake City; maternal grandparents Henry and Lois Horton of Lake City; paternal grandparents Dianne and Bob Ferguson of Lauderhill, Florida. He is also survived by his uncle and aunt Chip (Henry) and Stacy Horton and his close cousins Tyler, Samantha, and Kelly. He has 4 other surviving uncles and their families, as well as other extended family and a multitude of friends.The viewing is scheduled for Thursday, May 26, 6:00pm - 8:00pm at Daniel's Funeral Home, 408 Suwannee Ave, Branford, FL. Memorial Service will be Saturday, May 28, 2:00pm at New Life Christian Fellowship, 422 SW Baya Dr, Lake City, FL.
