Christian (Cheech) L. Quintana, age 33, passed away unexpectedly at his home in Las Vegas on Thursday, July 31, 2014. He was born on December 20, 1980, in Las Vegas to Carlos J. Quintana Sr. and Jenny Quintana. He was the youngest of six children and had recently moved back to Las Vegas. Christian will be especially remembered for his smile and compassionate personality.He is preceded in death by the love of his life, Dori Benavidez; paternal grandparents, Beniberto Quintana and Raquel Blea Quintana; maternal grandparents, Melaquias Padilla and Crestina Barela Padilla.Christian is survived by his parents, Carlos J. Quintana Sr. and Jenny Quintana; siblings Julian Quintana and Rose Quintana of Las Vegas, Carlos Quintana Jr. and Donicia Maestas of Encinal, Daniel Quintana and wife Veronica of La Manga, Jacob Quintana of Albuquerque; nephews and nieces, Tommy Quintana and wife Melanie and their sons of Guadalupita, Jennifer Quintana of Las Vegas, Daniel Quintana Jr. and Dakota Skye Quintana of La Manga. He is also survived by numerous other relatives and friends.Funeral services for Christian will be held at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church as follows: Rosary led by Lenore Ortega will be held at 7 p.m. today (Monday). Funeral service by Deacon Ernest Chavez will begin at 9 a.m. Tuesday. Eulogy will be delivered by his niece, Dakota Skye Quintana. Burial will follow the funeral service at Santo Niño de Atocha Cemetery in La Manga.
