Christie Fries Stewart, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away on April 5, 2023, in Queensbury, New York, at the age of 63. She was born on April 8, 1959, to Lawrence and Margaret Fries.

Christie devoted her life to being a loving mother to her nine children and a devoted wife to her husband Daniel, whom she married in her 40th year. She is survived by her children: Daniel with his spouse Heather, Christie, Matthew with his spouse Lisa, Michael with his spouse Susan, Bryan, Joshua with his spouse Rosanna, Sarah with her spouse Mark, Brianna, and Ashley. She also leaves behind nine grandchildren.

Aside from being a loving mother and wife, Christie was also dedicated to her profession. She worked as a teacher, where she positively impacted the lives of her students. Additionally, Christie was a proud volunteer at the American Cancer Association organization, working to raise funds and awareness for cancer research.

Christie's legacy will live on through the countless lives she's touched, the memories she's created, and the love she's given. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her.

Christie's battle with cancer came to an end on April 5, 2023. She fought bravely and with tremendous strength. She is now at peace, free from pain, and reunited with loved ones who have passed before her. Services were held at a private chapel, St. Catherine on April 7, 2023. In lieu of flowers the family asked for donations be made to the American Cancer Association in her honor.
