Christine A. CoyneDelmar-Christine A. Coyne, age 77, of Delmar, passed away on Friday, May 5, 2017 at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury, Maryland.She was born on May 10, 1939 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, a daughter of the late Nicholas and Anna Bartholomew.Mrs. Coyne was a graduate Hallahan High School of Philadelphia, Pa, and also a graduate of Delaware Valley Medical School. She worked as a Phlebotomist/Registrar at Northeastern Hospital in Philadelphia for 16 years. She loved going to the beach, flea markets and yard sales. She was an animal lover, and especially loved dogs.She is survived by her husband of almost 60 years, Arthur J. Coyne of Delmar; a daughter, Christina Coyne-Torres (Victor) of Philadelphia; two grandchildren, (AJ) Arthur Joseph Coyne of Tennessee and Samantha Robin Leatherbarrow (Caleb); a sister, Maryann Ulrich of Philadelphia; and two brothers, Nicholas Bartholomew (Sandy) of Berlin, Maryland and Joseph Bartholomew (Kandy) of Ocean City, Maryland; Special nieces and nephews, Wayne Ulrich (Terry), Debbie Mardt (Al), and Nicholas Ulrich (Jackie); and several more nieces and nephews.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Arthur Patrick Coyne (Butch); and a brother, Andrew Bartholomew.In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to Wicomico Humane Society, 5130 Citation Drive, Salisbury, MD 21804.Arrangements are in the care of Short Funeral Home in Delmar.
