Jeppesen, age 70, of Kimball, died Sept. 12, 2017 at the St. Cloud Hospital.Funeral Services will be held 11 a.m. Mon., Sept. 18 at Kimball United Methodist Church. Burial will follow at St. Anne Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-6 p.m. on Sun. and one hour prior to the service on Mon., both at the church. A prayer service will be held 6 p.m. Sunday at the church.Christine Faye Jeppesen was born on June 2, 1947 in Merrill, WI to Esther Kortz. She was raised by Clemence and Esther (Kortz) Loch in rural Watkins and graduated from Eden Valley High School with the Class of 1965. She was united in marriage on October 30, 1965 to Gerald Kuechle at St. Peter Catholic Church in Eden Valley. They were blessed with a daughter, Janet, prior to Gerald's death in 1968. Chris was then married to Jerald Joel Jeppesen in Tower on April 18, 1970. They had two children, Jackie and Jeremy. They lived in South Haven, prior to moving to rural Kimball in 1975 where they farmed for several years. In 1985, they purchased Fairway Foods and General Store in South Haven from Jerry's father and changed the name to Jeppesen's Store; they sold the store in 1994.Chris worked as the Deputy Clerk and Zoning Administrator for the City of Kimball, was the church secretary at Zion United Methodist Church in South Haven and Kimball United Methodist Church in Kimball, and sold Avon products. Chris was active in her community; she was a member of the Kimball Chamber of Commerce, Northland Decorative Painters Club, served as the Secretary of the Kingston American Legion Auxiliary Post 483, was co-founder of the Little Miss Kimball Pageant and helped organize and run Kimball Days for many years, helped design and decorate different local businesses, and was involved in planning her Class Reunions. She loved traveling, painting, cake decorating, and sewing. Most of all, Chris had a love for her family and especially her grandchildren. Chris is survived by her husband, Jerry; children Janet (Dale) Dufner of Maple Lake, Jackie (Brad) Stevens of Henning and Jeremy Jeppesen (Michelle Nybo) of Annandale; five grandchildren; sisters and brothers Barb (Larry) McMains of Litchfield, Steve (Julie) Loch of Dassell, Evie (Doug) Schlief of Glenwood, Alice (DuWayne) Douvier of Glenwood, Merlin (KeYoungAe) Loch of South Korea, Joyce (Ken) Lamers of North Pole, AK, Pat (Dan) Douvier of Glenwood, Mark (Laura) Loch of Silver Lake, Chuck Loch of Belton, MO, Ceci Loch of Kansas City, MO and Deb Mayer of St. Louis, MO; and five step-grandchildren, two step great-grandchildren, many cousins, nieces, nephews, family and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents Clemence and Esther Loch; first husband Gerald Kuechle; a twin sister that died at birth; and her sister, Mary, who died as a child.
