Christopher Ely Covert, 46, of Lakehurst, New Jersey, passed into eternal peace on January 22, 2022. Christopher was born on February 26, 1975.

Christopher was Born in Neptune NJ, but was a lifelong resident of Manchester Twp. before moving to Lakehurst. He graduated from Manchester Twp. High School in 1993 and then pursued his education at Nashville Auto Diesel College in Nashville, TN, where he graduated in 1995. Christopher served his country in the U.S. Navy from 2000-2007 and was an Iraqi War Veteran, he was honorably discharged in 2007. Chris then attended MMI Harley Davidson School in Orlando, FL and graduated in 2009 which lead him to work at Harley Davidson of Long Branch to pursue his love for motorcycles. Christopher is survived by his mother, Janet L. Covert, his father, Robert R. Covert, his sister, Samantha Covert-Pinca her husband Jason and their two children Gavin and Austin as well as his brother Robert R. Covert Jr. and aunts, uncle and cousins. He is predeceased by his maternal grandparents Lilian Abrams and Samuel Ely Abrams and paternal grandparents Elsie V. Covert and Edward S. Covert. A Memorial gathering will be held from 10am-12pm on Thursday February 3, 2022, at DeGraff Lakehurst Funeral Home, 119 Union Ave., Lakehurst. Interment to follow at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery, Wrightstown NJ. A private celebration of life will be held on February 26th at Lakehurst United Methodist Church at 11am.
