Cindi Kay RaneyOctober 22, 1957 - May 26, 2015Cindi Kay Raney, 57, passed away May 26, 2015 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on October 22, 1957 to Frank and Dorothy Raney in Caldwell, Idaho. She graduated from Caldwell High School and went on to receive her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Boise State University. She started working at Mercy Hospital. In 1983, she married James Spofford. They lived in Boise, Seattle and Phoenix. In 1988, when he was only 32 years old, Jim died suddenly of a blood clot. Cindi remained in Phoenix until deciding to return to Idaho to be closer to family. She started working again for Mercy Medical Center (now Saint Alphonsus Medical Center). In 1998, she married Kevin Wilda and were later divorced. Breast cancer was diagnosed 16 years ago and became stage four 12 years ago. She was a fighter; the doctors eventually ran out of options. With help, she was able to complete this year's Komen Race for the Cure. She was in 15 out of the 17 races and was proud of her "Forever Fighter" button, recognizing those with metastatic cancer. In the last few months, her amazing friends set aside their lives to be with her when she needed help. We will be forever grateful to them for all they have done. Surrounded by family, friends and medical professionals, she went peacefully to the end of her journey. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim and her father, Frank and all of her grandparents. She is survived by her mother, Dorothy, her brothers, Randy (Sue) and Gary (Angela), her nephews, Justin and Joey, her niece, Kaitlyn, Kevin Wilda and his children. In lieu of flowers, her family requests memorials to Wish Granters (1365 N.
