Potts, Clara A.Clara A. Heuer Potts, 100, Pittsville, died on Saturday, December 10, 2016 at Bethel Center, Arpin. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at St. John's Lutheran Church, Pittsville, with Rev. Gary Markworth officiating. Burial will take place in Mound Cemetery and great grandsons will serve as pallbearers. The visitation will be held from 9:30 am on Wednesday until service time at St. John's Lutheran Church. Buchanan / Rembs Funeral Home is assisting the family. Clara was born on May 7, 1916 in the Town of Hansen, Wood County, to Herman and Bertha (Hahn) Herzberg and attended North Hansen School. As a young lady she was employed in housekeeping in Wisconsin Rapids. She married Waldemar Heuer on June 6, 1934. He died on July 11, 1967. She later married Daniel Potts on September 25, 1971. He died on July 3, 1988. Clara and Waldemar farmed in the Town of Dexter. She tended a large garden and also raised chickens and sold eggs. She also sewed for her grandchildren. She enjoyed spending time and fishing with her husband Dan at the family cabin on Ginty Lake in Rhinelander, Wisconsin and ice fishing on Lake Dexter. She and Danny also traveled and spent winters in Why, AZ and Mission, TX. She enjoyed spending time with her brothers and sisters. Clara is survived by her children, Gayle Heuer of Elk Grove, CA, Melvin Heuer and LaVerne "Joe" (Elaine) Heuer, all of Pittville and a daughter-in-law, Wanda Heuer Krueger of Appleton. She is also survived by grandchildren, Lynn Jankowski, Bryan (Bonnie) Heuer, Lori Heuer, all of Pittsville and Glenn "Smokey" (Becky) Heuer of Bankcroft, and Kevin (Peggy) Heuer of Wisconsin Rapids, great grandchildren, Jennifer (Brent) Hartsough, Mark Jankowski, Nicole (Brett) Rademan, Christina (Mike) Klieforth, Chelsey Heuer, Jesirae (Jon) Ruder, Colt (Michele) Heuer, Adam (Gina) Martinovich, Samantha (Kevin) Mlodik, Zachary Heuer and Clayton Heuer and great great grandchildren, Wyatt, Grant, Celia, Dierks, Taylor, Axel, Garrett, Brooklyn, Addison, Payton, Capri, Sawyer, Mason and Elsie. She is further survived by many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, her husbands, a son, Russell Heuer, a grandson, Bradley Heuer, brothers, George, Lawrence and Leonard Herzberg, sisters, Mabel Thiel and Ella Grimm and sisters-in-law, Helen, Madeline and Clara Herzberg and Frances Bowden, brothers-in-law, Larry Thiel, Leon Grimm and Carl Bowden, and daughters-in-law, Karen Heuer and Margaret Heuer, and grandsons-in-law, Mike Jankowski and Bob Martinovich. The family wishes to thank everyone at Bethel Center who gave Clara such loving, compassionate care for the past 11 years, Wells Nature View on Adams Avenue in Marshfield for 3 years before that and Heartland Hospice for their special care in her final days.
