Clara RichmondClara Richmond, 98, the mother of Allendale resident Stan Richmond, died peacefully in her sleep at her home in New Rochelle, NY on October 27. She was born on April 17, 1919 to James and Pauline Blume and lived in Clinton, Connecticut and Brooklyn, New York.On September 8, 1940 she married the love of her life, Morton ("Munyeh") Richmond. They remained married for over 60 years until Mr. Richmond's death in 2002 at the age of 100.She is survived by her four sons, Michael, Stanley (Mignon, d), Edward (Beatrice) and Paul (Claire), and her grandchildren Matthew, Simone, Jordan, Sam, Max and her great grandchildren Noah, Jared and Adalynn.Mrs. Richmond was beloved by her family and the many other people she touched in her life. A talented Mezzo-soprano and her beauty made her a natural for acting and singing in local school and synagogue productions. Her many volunteering efforts included her conducting the Women's Westchester Chorale.Clara was active in many areas of life but was the happiest when she was with her beloved family. She will be sorely missed and always remembered for her warmth, love, good cheer and instinct to help people.
