FREMONT — Clara J. Richter, age 82, of Fremont, Indiana, passed away on Monday, July 27, 2015 at her home. She was born on April 20, 1933, in Huntington, Indiana, to Chester and Viola Grace (Smith) Humbert. She married Paul Richter on July 7, 1952, in Fort Wayne, Indiana, and he preceded her in death on September 9, 1998. She enjoyed her life as a farmer's wife, helping with all the farming and caring for the animals and livestock. She loved gardening, yardwork, her flower beds, and canning. Her greatest joy was following all the grandchildren's, great-grandchildren's, and great-great-grandchildren's activities, as she loved them all very much. Survivors include seven sons, Michael Richter, Doug Richter, and Matt (Cara) Richter of Fremont, Indiana, Rick (Colleen) Richter and Brad (Heather) Richter of Hicksville, Ohio, Mark (Lindy) Richter of Angola, Indiana, and Kevin Richter of Columbia, Ohio; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Pat Dull and Berniece Pritchard of Fort Wayne, Indiana; two brothers, Donnie Humbert of Fort Wayne, Indiana, and Harold Humbert of Waco, Texas; and two sisters-in-law, Cheryl (Doug) Kelly of Angola, Indiana, and Ann Richter of Mongo, Indiana. She was preceded in death by her parents; Chester and Viola Grace Humbert; her husband, Paul Richter; a daughter-in-law, Lynn Richter; brothers-in-law, Walter, Alvin, and Terry Richter; and a sister-in-law, Margaret Richter. Visitation will be from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Friday, July 31, 2015, at Beams Funeral Home, Fremont, Indiana. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, August 1, 2015, at Beams Funeral Home with the Rev. Donald Meyers officiating.
