Clarence DavisSpirit LakeClarence E. "Buzz" Davis, 85, of Spirit Lake died on Saturday, June 17, 2017 at the Sanford Senior Care Center in Sheldon, IA. Memorial services for Clarence will be held at a later date. The Schuchert-Lentz Funeral Home in Spirit Lake is in charge of arrangements.Buzz was born on October 2, 1931 in Des Moines, IA to Clarence H. and Jacquin (Schnell) Davis. He was united in marriage to Pat Ingham on December 28, 1951 in Rock Island, IL. Buzz was a Field Rep in the family business for Equitable Life in Des Moines. He was a member of the Equitable Men's Club and was a scuba diver for the Sheriffs department to help aid with search and water rescues. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling and going on adventures. He had the honor of being the first licensed scuba diver in the state if Iowa. Buzz was also a master Jeweler and the best craftsman with wood that you have ever met.He is survived by his wife Pat Davis of Spirit Lake; sons Steve and Fred Davis both of Des Moines; 6 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; a brother John and a sister Alice. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Virginia.
