Clarence Edward Blanchard, a gentle soul devoted to his family, was born on August 30, 1937, in Edenton, OH. After a life filled with love, laughter, and service, Clarence passed away on November 4, 2024, at his home in Goshen, OH, surrounded by his loved ones. His journey on this earth ended naturally, leaving behind a legacy of kindness and dedication.
Clarence was a proud veteran, having served in both the US Airforce and the United States Army Reserve. His dedication to his country was unwavering, and his commitment to duty was exemplary. Clarence also pursued higher education, earning college credits at the University of Cincinnati, showcasing his thirst for knowledge and self-improvement.
He is preceded in death by parents Edward & Elizabeth Blanchard and son Michael Blanchard. He is survived by wife of 65 years Anna Blanchard, daughter Janie Blanchard and son Bob Blanchard, grandson the late Michael D. Blanchard, great grandchildren Michael Blanchard Jr., Jaden Blanchard, Trinity Blanchard, Allie Vance, Carter Vance and grandaughter Tracy and extended family Troy Vance. Siblings Wilma McDaniels, Jerry Blanchard, Glenda Blanchard, the late Danny Blanchard and in-laws Mary Bradford, John Wendel, Pete Wendel Eddie Wendel and the late Bill Wendel. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service to honor Clarence's life will be held at Evans Funeral Home in Goshen on November 8, 2024, at 12:00 pm. Prior to the service, a visitation will take place at the funeral home at 11:00 am, giving family and friends the opportunity to pay their respects and share fond memories of a man who touched so many lives.
Clarence Edward Blanchard will be remembered for his unwavering love, his dedication to family and country, and the legacy of warmth and kindness he leaves behind. May his spirit rest in peace, knowing that he was deeply loved and will be forever remembered in the hearts of those who knew him best.
