Clarence Glen "Pinky" Christensen, 86, passed away at Teton Post Acute Care and Rehabilitation on November 1, 2016.He was born on May 6, 1930, in Blackfoot, Idaho to Clarence Andrew and Zella Hale Christensen. He was the third child of eight. Glen attended school at Lavaside Elementary, graduating from the 8th grade. Then he continued his formal education at at Firth High School and graduated from there in 1948. He worked for the Aberdeen Springfield Canal Company and later for Bingham County Road and Bridge. He retired from the county in 1992.He met and married Shirley Allene Morton on Feb. 14, 1952. They have two children, Glenda and Steven and for a few years, nephew, Ron Morton, lived with them. In their younger years they spent time with horses and working on the farm that they purchased from Glen's parents. They loved to spend time with their grandchildren Ross, Jeff and Klay. Whenever there was an opportunity they would go camping, hunting, fishing or just for a drive to look for the animals. Glen loved to hear of the successes of the grandkids and other family members. He always had a dog to take on a walk.He is survived by his daughter; Glenda (Kent) Christiansen; son, Steven; grandsons: Jeff (Rachel) Christiansen and Klay Christiansen; sisters, Bonnie McInelly, Geraldine Spooner and Karen Badan and numerous nephew and nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers, Alden and Dell; his sisters, Norma and Rosella and beloved grandson Ross Christiansen, who passed away just a week ago.Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, Nov. 7 at Hawker Funeral Home, 132 S. Shilling Ave, Blackfoot. The family will meet with friends and relatives from 11 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home.Condolences may be sent to the family at
