Clarence C. Grunwald (Terry) was born on October 8, 1940, in Waupaca, WI. He lived there with his parents until the age of twelve, and then moved to Oshkosh, WI. He attended South Park School, and graduated from Oshkosh High School in 1958. He joined the Army National Guard after graduation, and attended the military academy at Fort Lenoardwood in Missouri. He was called to active service with the National Guard in October of 1961, and was stationed at Fort Lewis in the state of Washington. He returned to Oshkosh in August of 1962, and married the love of his life, Alice Andree, on October 27th, 1962. He served as a Psychiatric Officer for 10 years for the WI Department of Corrections. He then attended UW-Oshkosh, graduating in 1981. Clarence was a proud member of St. John's Lutheran Church in the town of Nekimi. He is preceded in death by his parents Clarence and Nina Grunwald, and his sister Rosalie TeBeeste. He is survived by his wife Alice, four children Mary Wohlleber (Joe), Terry Grunwald, Troy Ann Kasuboski (Bruce), and Tracey Mishler (Tim), eleven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, his brother Bill Grunwald (Joan), and his brother-in-law John Te Beest.Clarence passed away peacefully, with his family at his side at Darboy Assisted Living on April 25, 2017. A funeral service for Clarence will be held at St. John's Lutheran Church in Nekimi on Tuesday, May 2nd, 2017, at 11:00AM, with Rev. James Reiff officiating. Visitation will be held at the church from 9:00AM until the time of service.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Clarence's honor to the Fisher Center for Alzheimer's Research Foundation.
