Clarence W. "Jake" MorrisonZANESVILLE: Clarence W. "Jake" Morrison, 81, passed away on Thursday February 5, 2015.He was born on September 10, 1933 in Zanesville to the late Ray and Lola Humphrey Morrison. He retired from Ohio Ferro Alloy and Brockway Glass. Jake served our country and protected our freedom in the United States Army for two years and the US Navy reserves for six years.Jake worked hard, often times two or three jobs to provide for his family. He was a generous man who put others needs before his own. He was undemanding and enjoyed the simple things in life-an Atlanta Braves game, his beloved Mail Pouch, and having his back scratched. He never complained! His quick wit and many unique Jake-isms will provide years of laughter to the whole family long after the tears are gone. The family expresses their thanks to the staff of Adams Lane Care Center for insuring Daddy's care for the past nine months and their great appreciation to Pastor Jerry Sutton for leading Daddy to the Lord.He is survived by three daughters, Karen (Andy) Jackson of Plain Dealing, Louisiana, Karol (Gary) Sidwell of Columbus, OH, and Kathi Conrad of Cambridge; a step daughter, Carol (Nick) Wilhelm; two step sons, Don Parsons and David Parsons all of Zanesville; a brother, Bryce (Kathryn) Morrison of New Lexington; four grandchildren; four great grandchildren (and one on the way); seven step grandchildren; and three step great grandchildren.In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Shepler Morrison; a brother, Ronald Morrison; and a grandson, Shane Paul.Calling hours will be 9-11am on Thursday February 12 at THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME 1150 WEST MILITARY ROAD ZANESVILLE.
