Clarence Dale YatesMANSFIELD: Clarence Dale Yates, 69, of Mansfield, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at Mansfield Memorial Homes. He was born on March 12, 1948 in Pikeville, Kentucky to the late Berlin and Mary (Watts) Yates. Dale was a 1967 graduate of Mansfield Senior High School and retired from Mansfield City Schools as a custodian. He had a servants heart and was very dedicated to his church, Abundant Grace Fellowship COGOP. Dale was an amazing artist and some of his work is located at the church. In his spare time, he enjoyed mowing lawns, fishing and camping. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and brother who will be greatly missed by his family. He is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Christa Ann (Alamanteoff) Yates; children, Joseph (Susan) Yates, Tina (Fliger) (Rodney) Pittman, Jiovanina (James) Kash, and Stephen Byerly; grandchildren, Catherine Fliger, Jasmine Kash, Logan Fliger, Vashon, Jazmyne, and Faith Byerly, and Cayden, Mitchell and Taylor Yates; great grandchildren, Ethan Leonhard and Aasir Beard; siblings, Velinda (Albert) Kinkade, Virginia (Mark) Davis, Verlin (Sonia) Yates, Velesa Cromwell, and Vaughn Yates; numerous nieces and nephews; and his loving canine companion, Joy. In addition to his parents, Dale is preceded in death by a granddaughter, Rebecca Yates; grandson, Dale Alan Yates; brother, Vernon Yates; sister, Veronica Yates; and his first wife, Rose Marie Yates. Dale's family will receive friends on Saturday, April 22, 2017 at Abundant Grace Fellowship COGOP, 1080 W. Longview Avenue, Ontario, from 10:00 a.m. until the time the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Bishop Richard Aites will officiate. Burial will be held at a later date in Mansfield Memorial Park.
