RACINE - Claude Goldsworthy, 83, passed away at Wheaton Franciscan Health All Saints on Thursday, January 10, 2013, with his family by his side. Claude was a lifelong resident of Racine, born on May 16, 1929 the son of the late Claude R. and Hazel (nee: Fine) Goldsworthy. He was a graduate of William Horlick High School, Class of 1948. Claude was united in marriage to Marie Harter on September 24, 1949 in Racine. He began his working career as a tool and die maker with Hamilton Beach. Claude retired after 27 years of service in 1991 as Vice President-Purchasing with Pioneer Products, Inc. Claude was a member of Mt. Pleasant Lutheran Church. He found great enjoyment in hunting, fishing and relaxing at his summer home in Larsen, Wisconsin, but most of all, his greatest enjoyment was spending time with his family and grandchildren and helping them when ever needed. Claude is survived is by his wife, of 63 years, Marie, children; Jerry (Cathy Seitz) Goldsworthy, Sherry Degerman, Sue (Ron) Miller and Jon (Sue) Goldsworthy. He also survived by grandchildren; Amy Goldsworthy, Tricia Mauer, Clint Miller, Trevor Degerman, Darrel Miller, Carly Goldsworthy, step grandsons, Adam and Alex Wilson. He is further survived by great grandchildren; Michael, Chloe, Olivia, Hampton, Hailee, Adrianna and Olyve. Claude is survived by brother, Dale (Liz) Goldsworthy, sister, Lois Reinholtz, sisters-in-law; Gen Goldsworthy and Dorothy Goldsworthy, in addition to nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends. He was preceded in death by his brothers; Wilson, Merrill and Clarence Goldsworthy and sister, Florence Raguse. Funeral services for Claude will be held at Sturino Funeral Home on Sunday, January 13, 2013, at 3 p.m. with Rev. David Echelbarger officiating. Visitation will be held at Sturino Funeral Home on Sunday from 1 p.m. until service time. He will be laid to rest at West Lawn Memorial Park in a private ceremony.
