Clifford Bradford GamronOxnard, CAClifford Bradford Gamron, aged 80 passed away October 29, 2016 at his home in Oxnard California surrounded by his family. He passed away from complications of Bladder Cancer. Clifford was born on February 4, 1936 in Harve , Montana. He was the eldest son of Ora and Bessie (Brookshire) Gamron. He attended school in Harve and joined the Air Force in 1953 and was stationed in New Hampshire. He met the love of his life Evelyn in New Hampshire over a jukebox and an Earl Bostic song. They married in 1954. He was transferred to California to March AFB in 1965. Clifford remained in the Air Force reserves until 1966. He was a Flight Engineer on C-119 airplanes. He then began a career as a Quality Control Inspector with Civil Service where he remained until retirement in 1993. In 1976 he the family moved from Riverside to Oxnard California. Clifford was active in many community endeavors from the Fuchsia Society, Bird Club, Oxnard
Elks Lodge #1443 and many camping groups including the Elks Campers. Camping was his specialty and he had wanderlust. He started out tent camping in New Hampshire, borrowed tent trailers, The Bus and many nice Motor Homes. Clifford provided many happy memories traveling in the bus with his family. He took us to Mexico every spring break, Death Valley and Joshua Tree during winter breaks and long summer trips to Canada, Montana and New Hampshire. Clifford and Evelyn hit the rode in 1993 and traveled full time in their motor home for 14 wonderful years. They traveled as far as the Arctic Circle, to all states in Mexico, all providences of Canada and 49 of the 50 United States. They led Motor Home Caravan trips in Mexico, Louisiana and the South West. They enjoyed the desert and spent many winters in Yuma, Arizona with the Escapees. To know Clifford meant you knew someone who would help you anytime you needed it. From the art of VW repair, to woodworking, a quick furniture move and all things in between, Clifford was there whenever you needed him. Everyone who knew him will miss his wit and friendliness. His beautiful bride of 62 years Evelyn, and their five children survive him. Grandchildren-Alfred Biron Jr. and wife Nicole, Janelle Biron, Kyle Sparks, Tyler Sparks, Bradford Gamron, Shawn Conley, Monica Castillo, Johnny Guerrero, Kayla Tellier and Eleven Great Grandchildren.A Celebration of his Life will be held at the Oxnard Elks Lodge at 801 South A Street Oxnard, CA on November 19, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. Family and friends are invited.
