Clifton St. Claire SlaterIt is with great sadness that we announce the death of Clifton St. Claire Slater.Clifton died at home peacefully on November 13, 2016. Clifton St. Claire Slater of Maryland was born on January 29, 1957 in White Hill St. Elizabeth, Jamaica West Indies.He was the fifth child born to parents Rosie Slater and the late Emanuel Slater and he was employed by Marriot Hotel Industries in Washington, DC for eighteen years.Clifton was predeceased by his father Emanuel Slater (2010) and his brother Nathaniel Slater 2016.Siblings are Barrington Slater (Virginia) Norris Slater (Jamaica), Joy McAnuff (Neptune NJ), Segree Slater (Jamaica), Grace Slater (Asbury Park NJ), Lambert Slater (Virginia), Janet Slater (Ocean New Jersey), and Corrine Kesler (Millstone NJ).Clifton has one daughter Krystal Slater (Virginia) and his grandson Zay Den King Halmon whom he enjoy spending time with.He left behind several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends that adored him.The family wishes to thank everyone for their cards and prayers during this difficult time.Viewing will be held on Saturday, December 3rd from 9am-10am at Bethel Community Church. Funeral service will begin at 10:00am at Bethel Community Church, 371 Essex Road, Tinton Falls, NJ.
