Clyde Hildreth Dodson, 78, of Hodgenville, passed away Monday, September 28, 2015, at the Kensington Manor Nursing Center in Elizabethtown. He was born on April 12, 1937, to the parents of Samuel and Tensiline Woods Dodson.He was retired from General Electric, a retired farmer, and a member of the Hodgenville Church of Christ.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by six sisters, Agnus Dodson, Margaret Lane, Beatrice Coons, Juanita Sturgeon, Bernice Coop and Sylvia Logsdon and a brother, Veachel Dodson.He is survived by his wife, Juanita Garrison Dodson; two daughters, Louise (Carey) Sontag of Glendale and Debra (Danny) Carter of Lawrenceburg; two sons, Clyde Wayne (Clara) Dodson of Elizabethtown and Richard Dale (Tita) Dodson of Hodgenville; 10 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, family and friends.Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, October 1, 2015, at the Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville with David Matthews officiating. Graveside services will follow at 4:30 p.m. at the Bon Ayr Cemetery in Barren County.Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and after noon Thursday at the funeral home.Condolences may be expressed online at www.bennett-bertram.com
