Cody Scholes, 22, of Ash Flat, Arkansas, passed Sunday, May 10, 2020. Cody was born, to his partner in crime, Scott Michael Scholes and Jennifer Ogle on August 16, 1997 in Springfield, Missouri. At 4 months of age, Cody was blessed with his mother, Melissa Ann McQueen and so began his forever family.
Cody was blessed to grow up with the love, strong bonds and treasured kept secret's of four siblings. He was the middle child having one older sister, Robin, his one older brother Tyler, and his two younger sisters, Allicia and Dezarei. I can only imagine how many wonderful memories of late night snickering and silly stories there must be in these 5 hearts.
Cody attended Highland High School in Highland, AR. It was there he met and fell in love with his high school sweetheart, Toni Marie. Right out of school Cody began work as a Tankerman at American Commercial Barge Line Benefits. And so began the beginning of the next 6 years of his life, building the foundation of his bright future in a comfortable home with the woman he loved.
Who knows what all may have been written in his story had he been able to stay here with us on earth, a little while longer. However, we can trust and be confident in knowing that though his story has ended for his physical body, his eternal spirit has already received his home with Jesus and have begun the rest and fellowship with God, our spirits long for. Cody will never want for anything again and there will never be another moment of fear in his heart. For he is with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, eating the bread of angels and experiencing beauty beyond our thoughts.
So although he has moved too far away, we can have faith, we will see him again, some day.
May the peace and love of Jesus be with us all.
You can to the family or in memory of Cody Scholes.
