Colton Chase Sawyer-Alexander, 18, of Tularosa, NM passed away on Friday, June 23, 2017. Colton was an avid outdoorsman and was living his dream when God called him home. Colton was born on June 28, 1998, in Alamogordo, NM. He lived in Tularosa his entire life. He graduated from Tularosa High School (THS) in May 2016, and attended NMSU in Las Cruces for a semester. Colton's life was filled with happiness and adventure. His passions were hunting, fishing, and shed hunting. He participated in several 4H and FFA projects and especially enjoyed welding. Colton won shooting sports competitions in rifle, trap and skeet, and archery. He had an outgoing, fun-loving, sweet, and sensitive spirit. Colton was a very creative, funny, caring, and loving person. Colton was confident and stood firm in his beliefs. He was voted Senior Homecoming King and Mr. THS by the Class of 2016. He touched many lives in his short life and will be remembered and missed by all who knew and loved him.Colton is survived by his parents, Thomas and Toni Alexander and his brother, Chandler Sawyer-Alexander, all of the family home in Tularosa, paternal grandparents Tom and Dusty Alexander of Alamogordo, maternal grandparents, Ralph and Mary Jo Sawyer, of Tularosa, as well as the love of his life, Kelsey Dunning. Colton was very close to his aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is also survived by a wealth of friends.Services to honor and celebrate Colton's life will be led by Pastor Billy Tucker, on Saturday, July 1, 2017, at 7:00 p.m. at the BLT Arena (old Doc Bryant Arena), 51 Sioux Trail, in Tularosa, NM and all are welcome.
