In Honor of Your Memory

Sergeant Colton Jay Johnson, 23, died on Thursday, October 16th, 2003, doing what he was most proud of: serving his country. Colton was one of the twelve soldiers that lost their lives when a helicopter was shot down out of the sky in Afghanistan. Colton has excelled serving his country and will be missed by many.

Colton was born in Dallas, Texas on May, 28th 1980. He graduated high school from Highland Park High School in 1998. We can proudly say that Colton made a lasting impression on everyone he met with his charm, which was only surpassed by the size of his heart. His energy, mischief, kindness, and zest for life are what his family and friends will remember the most.

Colton will forever be loved by those of us that he left behind. He is survived by his mother Olivia Johnson, his father Chase Johnson and his younger brother Greyson Johnson and his extended family. He will also be missed by the many friends that are now considered family.

Visitation Services will be held at North Dallas Funeral Home on Monday, October 20th, 2003 from 5:00-8:00 pm. Memorial Services will be held at North Dallas Funeral Home the following day on Tuesday, October 21st, 2003 at 10:00 am.
