Connie Hermano 63, of Langley, British Columbia, passed away unexpectedly on August 22, 2021. Connie (née Villagomez) was born on May 21,1958 in Makati, Philippines. Cherished wife to Ron Hermano and beloved father to Evette (William), Mary (Sandeep), and Sarah-Natalie. Daughter of the late Maria and the late Ricardo Villagomez. Sister of Boy (Zachariah) Villagomez, Marissa Lopez, Kristel Esquillo and the late Antonio Villagomez. Grandmother to Riyah and Spencer. She will be missed dearly by her many nieces, nephews, and extended family across the world in the Philippines, Canada, US and New Zealand.

Connie was raised in Cebu City, Philippines, and graduated from De La Salle University in Nursing in 1977. She dedicated over 30 years to providing the best care to her patients at San Juan De Dios Hospital in Manila and at Children's Hospital in Vancouver, BC. She made a profound impact on his family, friends, and colleagues.

In 1989, ahe made a leap of faith and immigrated to Canada. Her daughters were who she would call the "greatest loves of her life". She cherished her time spent with Evette travelling South America. She nurtured Mary-Kristine's passion for sports across the country and, later, her career as a psychologist. Moreover, she encouraged Sarah's passion for art and theatre, driving countless hours to art exhibits, shows and helping her build many life-sized art displays.

Connie enjoyed singing karaoke, going for scenic drives, and spending time with her husband, daughters, and grandchildren. Her thirst for knowledge led her to read hundreds of books and visit museums whenever she could. She was a big city lover who enjoyed frequent trips to Toronto, Manila, Washington, DC, and seeing Broadway shows in New York. Connie wanted no more than to ensure her loved ones were cared for.

We would like to sincerely thank her care team at Peace Arch Hospital especially during a worldwide pandemic. At this time, our family will be preparing a book of memories and condolence messages, and we welcome any submissions from family and friends. We will organize a celebration of life on Mon, August 30, 2021. Details TBD.
