Connie L. WilsonOxnard, CAConnie L. Wilson, 84, passed away Tuesday, September 5, 2017. Connie was born on September 27, 1932 in St. Joseph, MO. She and her family moved to Albuquerque, NM in 1945 where she resided until moving to Oxnard, CA in 1969. Connie was preceded in death by her husband, James K. Wilson, in 1964. After his death, Connie went back to college and received her Bachelor's Degree in Education, all while raising three young children. Shortly after receiving her Degree, she moved with her children to Oxnard, CA where she taught elementary education and music for 35 years. Connie was an accomplished pianist and treasured teacher. Many of her former students, who are now adults, still fondly remember her. In 2015, Connie moved back to Albuquerque to live with her granddaughter, Lindsay, and family.Connie is preceded in death by her husband, James, her brother, Donald Forbes, her parents, Hertha and Harry Forbes, and brother-in-law Sam Rose. She is survived by her sister Jean from Tampa, sons Michael (wife Kelli) and James (fianc?e Chris), from Albuquerque, and her daughter Jeanne (fianc?e Bobby) from Oxnard. Connie has four grandchildren, Tara (fianc?e Justin), Lindsay (husband Joe), Desiree, and Keith (husband Austin), and also two step-granddaughters, Lindsay and Alexandra. She has seven great-grandchildren, Michael, Landon, Stefanie, Cameron, Claire, Joey, and Angelina. Connie has several nieces and nephews as well as grandnieces and grandnephews who live in various states. She also has many close friends who love her and will miss her dearly. Connie was an amazing person-as good as it gets. She was kind, selfless, adventurous, loved unconditionally, and was so forgiving. She will be deeply missed but lives on through all the people she has inspired. A celebration of Connie's life will be held on Saturday, September 23, 2017, 11:00am, at Camino del sol Memorial Center, 200 North "C" Street, Oxnard, CA.
