Connie Minnix LUBBOCK-Connie Minnix was born on May 27, 1954, in Batesville, AR, to Norma and Conrad Sims. She passed away peacefully July 30, 2017. Connie was deeply loved and cherished by all of her family members and friends and will be greatly missed. She is survived by her husband, Tim Minnix; mother, Norma Krug; sister, Cathie Sims; sister, Cindie Casazza and her husband, Bob; daughter Melissa Minnix; daughter, Miranda Willey and her husband, Jon; 5 granddaughters Maia, Tatum, Gretchen, Jaxyn, and Parker; sister-in-law, Melody Moore and her husband, Sam. She was preceded in death by her father, Conrad Sims; beloved mother- and father-in-law, Joy and Bill Minnix; and their son, Jim. On April 6, 1974, she married Tim, her best friend for the past 43 years. They met at York College in York, NE. They lived in several states including Texas, Missouri, Oregon, New Jersey, and New Hampshire where they served others. They returned to Lubbock in 1996, and started their construction company and later became involved with Keller Williams Realty. Connie dedicated her life to others and was known for her outstanding hospitality and extraordinary art, which she freely gave to hundreds of people. She adored her granddaughters to whom she was Nonnie. Everyone who knew her was blessed by her unconditional love. A memorial service will be held at Monterey Church of Christ, 6111 82nd St. on Wednesday, August 2, 2017, at 4 p.m. followed by a visitation for all.
