WATERLOO — Connie Lou Moughler died November 14, 2016 after a long struggle with scleroderma. She was born on March 9, 1949 to Clarence and Ruby (Hackney) Patton in Charleston, West Virginia. Connie worked for 12 years in the cafeteria of Hamilton Community Schools. She attended the Auburn Church of the Nazarene. She married Dale Moughler on December 1, 1984 in Fort Wayne and he survives in Waterloo. Also surviving are four sons, Christopher Shamblin of Auburn, Matthew (Erin) Shamblin of Auburn, Eric (Whitney) Moughler of Waterloo and Seth (Shanna) Moughler of Helmer; two sisters, Barbara Tury of Lakewood, Ohio, and Jan (Justin) Kalinowski of New Haven. The joy of her life was her grandchildren and step-grandchildren, Tiffany (John) Peak, Hunter Shamblin, Colin Moughler, Mason Moughler, Miles Moughler, McKinley Moughler, Victoria Garcia, Katherine Garcia, Dianna Garcia and Several beloved nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Geraldine Elkins and Emogene Harrison, nephew Richard Carter and great-nephew Jeremy Carter. Services are 11 a.m. Thursday November 17, 2016 at Feller and Clark Funeral Home, 1860 Center St., Auburn, with Rev. Doug Thomas officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Auburn. Calling is Wednesday from 3-7 p.m. and also one hour prior to the service Thursday from 10-11 a.m. at the funeral home.
