Conor MacLeod Olsen 1992 ~ 2015Conor MacLeod Olsen passed away on Thursday, October 22, 2015 in Boise. Family and friends are invited to gather for a time of remembrance and a celebration of Conor's life on Friday, October 30, 2015 from 1:30-4:00 pm in the Reception Center of Cloverdale Funeral Home, 1200 N. Cloverdale Road, Boise. Conor was born on August 4, 1992, into the loving arms of his mother, JoAnn Archibald, and his father, Jesse M. Olsen, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, at 6:03 pm. He was a beautiful, happy, sweet, and very bright little boy who filled all of those around him with joy and immense love. At around the age of 4, he and his family moved to Ketchum, Idaho. It was there that he spent a lot of his youth and made some lifelong friends. Prior to graduating high school, he also spent time in Boise and Twin Falls, graduating with his class in 2010 at Twin Falls High School. Conor was exceptionally intelligent, intuitive, generous, compassionate, and a very handsome young lad; his bright blue eyes and smile could light up the room. He was very creative and artistic. He loved to learn, loved to draw, as well as sing and play the guitar. He loved to cook, especially for friends or family. Growing up, he played any sports he could (soccer, skiing, snowboarding) and rode BMX, obtaining trophies taller than him. He loved to push life to the limits and explore all life had to offer. Anyone that knew Conor on a personal level would say he was "an old soul." He loved making people happy and loved helping others. He would do anything for his friends, and just as much for any stranger. He believed everyone should be treated with kindness and compassion; he would go out of his way to give a homeless person some cash, even though he did not have much himself. He had a passion for cooking and he loved to be surrounded by his friends and loved to make people laugh. He was always there to support his friends when they needed him. Conor was a young man with so much inner depth and passion. He is deeply missed and loved more than words can ever describe or explain; the pain of this loss has left a void that will never be filled. You were taken from us way too soon, Conor! The painful addiction that once enslaved your mind is gone, your spirit is free. Now you can fly free with the birds soaring high above us, we hope to one day fly next to you. Conor is survived by his mother, JoAnn Archibald of Meridian, ID; his father, Jesse MacLeod Olsen of Hayward, CA; 4 siblings: Caelum, Cooper, Cole and Melby MacLeod Olsen (and their mother, Michelle Melby) all of Hayward, CA; and his paternal grandparents, Kim and Gary Arney of California. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Ralph and Dorothy Archibald of Idaho Falls, ID. Family friends have started a GoFundMe account to help the family with funeral expenses. In lieu of flowers, it is requested that a donation be made to this fund. You can access this page at
