CROSLIN,Constance Taylor "Connie"Constance Taylor Croslin "Connie", passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 21, 2017 in Austin, TX, following a stroke. She went to be with her Lord at 80 years of age. Connie was born on January 20, 1937 in Chicago, Illinois. Her father, Col. Robert L. Taylor, was a West Point Graduate serving in both WWI and WWII. The family lived in multiple states throughout the U.S. Connie had especially fond memories of living in Germany post-WWII during her teenage years. Connie and her family moved to Austin, TX following her father's retirement. She attended the
University of Texas at Austin, and was a member of the Delta Gamma Sorority. Connie was a member of the Northwest Hills United Methodist Church in Austin, TX. She was involved with the church choir, prison ministry and many other volunteer activities. Connie's spiritual life was primary in her life. Connie worked at the University of Texas at Austin in the president's office as an executive assistant. Connie was predeceased by the "love of her life", Norman Edgar Croslin, husband of 24 years. She is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Laurie Armistead and sons, David Patton and Robert Croslin; her grandchildren include Michael Armistead, Angela Wheeler, Devon Armistead, Aaron Patton; great-granddaughter Avery Armistead; niece Kirsten Whitworth and nephew Randall Whitworth; second cousin Gaye Thompson. The memorial service will be held at Northwest Hills United Methodist Church, on Saturday, January 28th at 10am.
