Constantin (Gus) Bizanos, 83, of Framingham died on Monday, May 22, 2017. He was born on September 9, 1933 in Athens, Greece, son of the late Xenophon and Maria (Pallis) Bizanos. He was the loving husband for 58 years of Vassiliki "Vickie" (Vassiliadis) Bizanos. He was father to Natasha Bizanos-Ashe and her loving husband Michael F. Ashe of Framingham; Emmanuel Bizanos and his wife Cheryl of Dunedin, FL. He was loving grandfather and Papou to Catherine and Alexander Ashe and Eric and Andrew Bizanos. He also leaves his brother Nicholas and his nieces and nephew in Greece, as well as his nephews, Emmanuel and Antonios Vassiliadis of Framingham. Gus seved in the Greek Army and played with the Greek Soccer Team before emigrating to the States with his wife in 1967. He first lived in Connecticut and then in Quincy, MA, where he opened a small market. He worked in the shipyards in both Clinton, CT and aat General Dynamics in Quincy, MA. In the late 1970's, Gus settled in the Framingham hone that he loved and where he spent hours tending to his lawn and gardens with his wife. His home was truly his castle. Gus most enjoyed being there and watching Bruins games. Gus devoted his retirement to his grandchildren who were his pride and joy and taught them to speak Greek. He was a familiar presence at their events and soccer games. He was never late, not once, to the bus stop for afternoon pick-up, rain or shine. He especially loved when his grandchildren from Florida visited and the grandkids were all together playing soccer in his yard. Gus was a fixture in his Nobscot neighborhood and loved talking and sharing jokes with friends at his daily stops. He was a kind, devoted family man who will be missed by his family, friends and neighbors. The family would like to thank those assisted in his care, particularly his doctors and the professional and compassionate nurses and staff on the second and fifth floors of Framingham Union Hospital and from Metrowest Home Care. At the request of the family, private services will be held on Saturday with burial in St. Stephen's Cemetery, Framingham. A memorial service will be held at a future date. The John P.
