Corinna Brown Gardner, 79, of Salisbury passed away Thursday, Dec. 1, 2016 at Trinity Oaks Lutheran Home. Corinna was born on Jan. 7, 1937 in Rowan County to John C. and Beatrice J. Brown. Corinna grew up in Salisbury and graduated from Boyden High School in 1955. After high school, Corinna attended Greensboro Women's College where she earned her associate degree. Corinna met Conrad Gardner while in high school and married her high school sweetheart in June of 1955. Corinna worked at Overton Elementary School for 35 years where she was greatly loved. She loved her Shelties, feeding the birds, shelling at Sanibel Island, Fla. and meeting with her lunch bunches. She was preceded in death by her parents. Corinna is survived by her husband, Conrad, of the home; children, Steven Conrad of Salisbury and Sandra Sullivan (Rob) of Salisbury; grandchildren, Christopher, Bradley, Jack, Robert and Katherine; and sister, Joan Miller (Phil) of Salisbury. Services and Visitation: Services will be held at St. John's Lutheran Church on Monday, Dec. 5, 2016 at 1:30 p.m. with visitation being held from 1-1:30 p.m. at the church. Burial will follow in Rowan Memorial Park.
